Detailed Description of Job
Qualification: Electrical or Mechanical Engineer
Experience:
- Oversee and execute all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works including electrical networks, fire protection systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, and drainage works. Review, interpret, and implement project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with design and quality standards.
- Manage and guide engineers, supervisors, and site personnel to ensure efficient project progress and timely completion. Monitor site activities, track progress, and ensure adherence to schedules, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Handle project management tasks including billing, contractual correspondence, and coordination with clients and consultants. Attend project meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate updates to management and stakeholders.
- Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize design, cost, and performance outcomes.
- Lead and coordinate work execution during staff shortages or absences, ensuring continuity and productivity.
- Manage material procurement, vendor negotiations, and ensure timely availability of quality products at competitive pricing.
- Supervise labour and control site productivity through foremen and engineers, maintaining efficiency in line with company targets.
- Provide engineering support to drafting teams for the preparation of shop drawings and as-built documentation. Contribute to tender preparation, including technical and time viability assessments.
- Report regularly to management on project performance, progress, and any issues requiring attention.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by Project Managers or Directors to support company objectives.
